In the article the questions of rational use of resources are considered. The situation with processing of waste in the Russian regions on the example of the Vologda region is analyzed. On the basis of the studied foreign experience of waste management in economic activity conditions for minimization of waste that is one of the directions of "green" economy are revealed and proved.
