In the article the methodical aspects of carrying out monitoring of social and economic development of territories and regions taking into account specifics of information requirements of the main categories of users are considered. Experience of Scientific center of social and economic monitoring of the Republic of Mordovia in the sphere of programming and monitoring of social and economic development of territories and regions is given.
