Institutional problems of forest sector of economy

The trends in the forest sector of the Russian economy are analyzed. The factors and conditions that contribute to the technological gap between the world's leaders in the field of wood processing and domestic enterprises are revealed. The ways of improving the institutional infrastructure for the innovative development of the forest sector are considered. It is noted that the priority investment projects are designed only to traditional processing technology of forest resources, which limits their effectiveness.
