In the article the methods of an assessment of efficiency of localization in Russia of hi-tech productions are offered. Features of the hi-tech industry are considered, taken into account not only commercial interests of businessmen, but also employment of highly skilled workers, and also tax revenues in the budget. The conditions when the state or the regional authorities should stimulate localization of hi-tech productions, including by means of tax privileges are revealed.
