Priority is focused on cross-border regions in the regional economic policy, based on the fact that the economy of cross-border region is based on international economic mechanism. External relations are importance for the development of border regions and in most cases serve as an incentive for integration into the economy of the surrounding countries. In the article the retrospective analysis of transport infrastructure development of border areas considering their cross-border case are carried out.
