Global indexes as means of complex assessment of innovative potential

In the article the index of innovative potential of Porter-Stern (Innovation Capacity Index) and a resultant index of the Innovative board of the European Union (Summary Innovation Index IUS) are considered. The analysis of techniques of indexes creation allows to correctly interpreting the results of the countries rankings founded on these indexes. It is also possible to use indexes as a monitor of a condition of the innovative sphere, an assessment of extent of approach to a strategic objective of innovative development.
