In the article the problems of operating currency system come to light, possible ways of its further development are considered. The assessment of a condition of economy of the countries issuers of leading world currencies is carried out. The structure of a turn of the world currency market is analyzed. The author concludes that the need of supranational currency that is independent of the geopolitical interests of individual countries.
