In the article recommendations on application of forecasting methods of risks of emergence of failures and accidents are presented. The economical and statistical model for forecasting of emergency situations based on the consideration of depreciation of fixed assets of sources of emergency situations is proved. By means of this model it is possible to predict a damage of consequences of approach of extreme cases, and it allows to use system of effective methods and instruments of their prevention
