Comparative analysis of military-industrial complex of Russia and foreign states

Due to the backlog in the 90s of last century challenges in military construction and the effects of the global financial and economic crisis of 2008-2009, the task of modernization and sustainable development of enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) acquired national importance at the present time. In this article, based on data obtained from the open Russian and foreign information sources, a comparative analysis of national defense and military-industrial complexes (in conjunction with the study of the dynamics of global military spending at the beginning of the XXI century) is held with some of the leading countries in the world. In addition key ways to increase the export potential of the Russian military industry in the current period of national economic development are identified.
