In the article intrinsic characteristics of innovative potential of region are considered, the analysis of various approaches to definition of its structure is given. The estimation of features of formation of innovative potential and innovative infrastructure of Republic Tatarstan is resulted. Perspective directions of expansion of possibilities of innovative potential of Tatarstan are considered.
