The article deals with the priority directions of modernization and efficiency of the regional economy, based on the formation of a new model of "green economy" for the maintenance the sustainable development of the region and the creation of favorable conditions for economic entities functioning, contributing to their large-scale renovation in order to enhance their competitiveness in local and global markets.
