It is researched the market of cattle-breeding production and its influence on food safety of the region. Feature of the food market is realization of the goods of the first vital need. Therefore the food market gets to sphere of economic, social and political interests. Steady maintenance of the population of area with the foodstuffs is defined by a condition of own manufacture of cattle-breeding production at the expense of development of regional agrarian and industrial complex and efficiency of functioning of the regional food market. Also in the article problems and measures for maintenance of food safety in Kursk area are defined.
