The restricted reproduction (reproduction recession) as the most serious form of economic crisis in Russia of nowadays is considered. The influence of restricted reproduction on the nature of economic growth is shown. The problem of competitive type of reproduction has been examined, it’s necessity on the basis of institutional modernization in Russian economy has been proved.
