The article reveals the mechanism of the usage in Russia and its regions of the adaptive farming systems with the forest and land reclamation complex functioning within the bounds of landscapes. Such systems as the authors think are able to smooth over the negative impact of the natural extremal phenomena, errors in agrotechnology, consequences of the unreasonable land and forest improvement.
