Challenges and prospects of forming transport-logistics schemes in the North

The huge territories of northern regions are characterized by underdeveloped transport infrastructure and have no proper connections to the main roads. Such a situation causes hampering development of this part of the country and solving the strategic tasks of the Arctic coast development. The article is devoted to analyzing the deterrents of transport-logistics systems development in the Russian North and Arctic and to possible prospects of their development. There are discussed issues of forming the logistics market in the country, the specificity of its formation in the North, namely challenges and opportunities of its development.
