Method of measuring the regional socio-economic development

This article is devoted to the study of different methods measuring the level of socio-economic development of regions. We describe the genesis of the world's scientific research in the development of assessment criteria level of regional development. An integrated range of existing indices of quality of life, in particular a detailed analysis of the human development index (HDI), particularly its application to the regions of Russia. We describe the differentiation of the indicators of HDI among Russian regions. The main indicators of socio-economic development of the region and ways to measure them.
