Kursk region is one of the most industrially-developed regions of Russia which presents an essential production potential. Its industry as compared to the other economic sectors has more complex multisectoral structure (more than 800 large and medium enterprises). This region has been playing the role of one of the most important industrial, agrarian, administrative, transport, intellectual and cultural centers of Russia. In the structure of economy the industry is of great importance. It gives 36,5% GRP. About 15% employed in national economy work at industrial enterprises. The main part of collected taxes in the region are provided by enterprises of industry.
