On the essence and indicators of internationaltrade exchange equivalence

The increasing gap in living standards between the world countries in the modern era of globalization leads to an increased interest in the problem of the exchange equivalence. This article gives the authors understanding of the equivalent exchange as a balanced exchange of goods with an equal share of added value. It is shown that this definition does not contradict the existing interpretations of the term. The author analyzed the traditional indicators of equivalence of exchange and proposed a number of new indicators, identified their strengths and weaknesses. It is concluded the need to continue research on this topic.
