The article deals with the experience of introducing standards of public services in the leading countries of the world. The article reveals foreign practice in development and use of standards of quality of services rendered by state sector. The experience of various national approaches in setting standards of quality of public services has been presented. Measures aimed at upgrading the process of standardization of public services, improving the quality and upbringing the effectiveness of rendering of state and municipal services have been introduced.
