Systems approach to understand competitiveness as a factor of sustainable development of economics

Sustainable development of a country's economy depends on an adequate understanding of “competitiveness” concept. The article is devoted to the analysis of current approaches to understand this concept and suggests its new definition on the basis of systems approach. Competitiveness is suggested to understand as the ability of the analyzed system to provide demanded output taking into consideration external environment and entry of an object. The advantages of the offered approach are analyzed as well.
