The definition of «town» as a conceptual basis of the elaboration of mechanisms for a sustainable development of mono-industry towns

The aggravation of a problem of industrial mono-industry towns has caused search of decisions in achievement and the further maintenance of a sustainable development of towns. However, neither domestic nor foreign literature so far lacks the definition of «town». There is no it in regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation. This greatly complicates the search for solutions for sustainable development of mono-industry towns. The article analyses the situation in the definition of «town».
