In this article the questions of transformation of the Russian elite in transitive economy are covered. The author used indices of показатели indices of purchasing power of wage, average monthly income of population and indices of gross domestic product as generalizing index of economic activity of the country. The author reviews different theories of the process of elite interchange in Russia, analyses structure of contemporary Russian elite.
