Influence of price-formation policy on food security of the country

One of the main reasons of crisis in Russian AIC was price parity breach, uncontrolled price increase by monopolists producing agricultural equipment and purchase price reduce by processing enterprises and hardly controlled process of agricultural products realization by trade network. The article deals with the criteria of food security of the population, shows the goals of governmental regulation for providing food security of the country, analyses amendment of Trade Act and gives the opinions of the representatives of distribution networks, anti-monopolist service and the author on the present changes. The following conclusion is made: complex approach to price formation is connected with the necessity of forming its methodological and legislative basis, reflecting objective economic processes and restricting the role of subjective factors in price formation.
