The particular relevance of the problem is caused by several factors of economic and social issues. They have both internal and external on-board. In the end of 2000, in Russia shortage of skilled labor force, the desire of some foreign countries to achieve technological superiority over Russia became a reality. Paper analyzes the economic security, its content and structure. The approaches to ensuring the economic security of the state and society are considered.
