Vast computerization of the banking activity has multiplied the importance of the informational security in banks. To set up a proper grid of informational security requires systematic approach, which would involve revealing and duly remediation of internal and external hazards. Analysis of the actual state of informational security at a given institution and elaboration of concrete set of recommendations lies at the heart of achieving this goal. System of informational security must be developed in concurrence with a bank’s business-goals. It is of crucial importance to have an exhaustive overview of all potential threats and hazards in order to be capable of preparing adequate and reasonable means of security. The article is concentrated around the analysis of major and most important types of treats and hazards that can have a negative impact on the informational security.
