This article presents an analysis of socioeconomic dynamic of Voronezh city in comparison with the systems of larger scale in which it is integrated in - Russia, Central Federal District and Central Black Earth Region. It outlines also comparison of city level of development with other regional centers of Central Black Earth Region. Socioeconomic situation in Voronezh city is changing significantly; the city is losing its status of the large industrial center being behind its neighbors in terms of positive dynamic, and at the same time it is creating the foundations for another way of development.
