The article provides an overview of existing models of the reform of natural monopolies, an analysis of the factors that allow to build an adequate model of optimal reform and enterprise development. The paper discusses some of the methods and means of reforms on the example of different countries (Sweden, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Russia). Using practical examples allow us to analyze in terms of public benefit advantages and disadvantages of different methods of creating competitive relationship.
