In the article the aspects of natural-recourses potential appraisal of the FEFG, the specificity of economic and geographical position of the Region in North-East Asia, natural and climatic features are envisage. Social and economic problems of the most important specialization branches of the Far East are analyzed. As noted, in aid of a sustainable development of the FEFG economy the principal meaning belongs to realization of the main investment programs of federal significance under the separate territorial subjects of the Russian Federation as part of the FEFG. It also shown that the regional cluster formation is the upcoming trend for the regional economy development. The main problems are stood out for the cluster method penetration at the market.
