The article covers the questions of commercial data storage, highlights major means and methods of data protection. The problem remains urgent, as data disclosure is often able to prevent a market participant from achieving the goals, i.e. constitutes a serious risk for the enterprise safety. Three data types are analysed, the first of which is for public use, and the other two are confidential.
