Nowadays Russia is moving to information-oriented society. The last 10 years have introduced Russia to global issues happening all over the world, including those concerning human rights and freedoms. This period increased the number of various data bases containing personal information (personal data) and held by both public and private institutions. However the issues related to personal data collection, processing, storage and transfer are not supported enough either legally, organizationally or technically.
