Subject. This article discusses the innovation and technological potential of industrial regions of Russia. Objectives. The article aims to develop a methodology for analyzing and assessing the level of innovation and technological potential of industrial regions of Russia. Methods. For the study, we used analysis and synthesis, index assessment method, logical and comparative analyses. Results. The article highlights areas to create a favorable environment conducive to the innovative development of industry. It presents a matrix that helps compare the results of assessing the level of innovation and technological potential of Russia's industrial regions. Conclusions. The results of the study emphasize the importance of introducing innovations and high technologies into the industrial sector as a key factor for achieving a balanced economic growth in Russia's industrial regions. It is necessary to focus on the formation and implementation of targeted programmes to support innovation and technological development, which will contribute to improving the competitiveness and sustainability of the economy.
