Importance The article analyzes the market of paid services to the population during the economic crisis.
Objectives The aim is to consolidate the individual pieces of data contained in open information sources to get information that helps understand dependencies between members of paid services market in the Russian Federation in terms of economic slack.
Methods In this paper, I analyze the aspects of economy crisis influence on the market of paid services to the population of the Russian Federation with the help of systems and statistical methods.
Results I present a dynamics analysis of paid services to the population in the period of economic slack in Russia. I studied price indexes for different types of services per year. I reveal the share of services in added value of GDP worldwide.
Conclusions and Relevance In Russia, the share of spending on services is traditionally smaller than in the developed nations, mostly because of the large share of food supply. These differences in the structure of personal consumption, as well as trends in prices and paid services volumes, disclose a sizable social inequality in Russia. Upon the whole, rich and poor social groups use a similar range of paid services in different proportions, with a different correlation with income and service quality. The results' range of use comprises studies of higher education institutions along with the management of financial, bank and other concerned governmental and private organizations giving paid services to the population.
