Evaluating the efficiency of preventive adaptation of the corporate organizational structure in uncertainty of the operating environment

Importance Adaptive structures for corporate governance represent one of the ways to cushion the negative effect of uncertainties in the operating environment. Therefore it is reasonable to evaluate whether such adaptation is effective, considering the uncertainty of the operating environment, thus making the subject of this article very relevant.
Objectives The research evaluates whether adaptive structure of the entity is effective in the uncertain operating environment.
Methods The methodological framework involves the approach based on the probability theory.
Results Adaptive transformation of corporate structure requires a certain period of time. Hence, the preventive adaptation will entail diagnostic procedures that allow identifying dangerous changes in external factors and undertake adaptive transformation timely. We estimated respective correlations to determine probabilities of that production adaptation would be done timely in line with the ever changing environment, and suggested using those probabilities as efficiency levels of technological innovations, systems of structural adaptation and diagnostics, criterion probabilities.
Conclusions We conducted the probability theory analysis by comparing the duration of adaptation changes in the entity and proposed our criteria of their efficiency.
