Importance The article discusses specifics of managing small innovative enterprises' resources and analyzes the existing classification of their resources, pointing out respective strengths and weaknesses. The article suggests a new classification of small innovative enterprises' resources, considering their specifics in comparison with other enterprises and supporting their strategy. Objectives The research comprehensively examines the classification of small innovative enterprises' resources in line with all types of resources needed for innovative activities. Methods As part of the research, I applied methods of comparative analysis, synthesis, abstraction and classification. Results I propose a comprehensive classification of small innovative enterprises' resources supporting the implementation of their strategy. This classification includes all types of resources that make small innovative enterprises competitive. The allocated resources are measurable and controlled by small innovative enterprises. Thus, it allows formulating a strategic plan of small innovative enterprises as definite values of resources over time and appointing people who would be responsible for certain resources. Conclusions and Relevance I conclude that, considering high competition in the global innovation market, it is very critical to have a strategy so that any small innovative enterprise could continue its operations. The small innovative enterprises' strategy can be implemented and effective when each employee has a clear understanding of his/her respective role, and which resources he/she is responsible for, and the entity has a plan for reaching target indicators.
