Importance The article focuses on trends in Brazil's economic development, considering prospects for foreign trade relationships with Russia and the BRICS countries as part of technological and investment cooperation.
Objectives The research examines and analyzes the current economic and political situation in Brazil and how the establishment of the Trans-Pacific Partnership can influence Brazil and the BRICS countries. I also study methods and prospects for developing and strengthening the relationships between the BRICS countries focusing on the investment partnership.
Methods The research is based on a systems analysis and formal logic. I review the reasonableness, opportunities, methods and strategies for setting up partnership relations with Brazil within the BRICS.
Results The article reveals how the Trans-Pacific Partnership influenced the economy of Brazil and analyzes the scenarios when Brazil can withdraw from the BRICS. I indicate the most promising areas for developing the cooperation and relationships between Brazil, Russia and the other BRICS nations.
Conclusions and Relevance The Trans-Pacific Partnership poses threats to the BRICS nations, and Russia, in particular. The investment and technological partnership is an integral part of the BRICS policies. It is reasonable to develop the transportation and logistics as soon as possible.
