Importance The article substantiates the necessity of integrated institutional measures aimed at changing the existing architecture of ensuring sustainability of the national financial system and regulatory measures aimed at changing the policy pursued by the State in the field of ensuring the sustainability of the national financial system.
Objectives The goal of the research is to develop multifaceted approach to ensure the sustainability of the national financial system.
Methods As a methodological framework, I have used systematic and comprehensive approaches, the dialectic method of knowledge, the analysis, synthesis, comparison methods, etc. At present the need for an integrated approach to ensure the sustainability of the national financial system is inspired by the current economic and financial scholarly literature. It is dominated by the fragmented approach that addresses the individual measures, the implementation of which can have a positive impact on the financial system sustainability. In most cases, such measures are considered from the point of view of preventing a reduction in financial stability rather than from a position of its enhancement, namely, as some anti-crisis measures. They have a strictly limited local nature. In fact, these measures are not focused on the financial system sustainability as a whole, but are aimed at ensuring the sustainability of its individual structural elements.
Results The paper emphasizes the need to encourage a reduction of leverage level in the national financial system, to provide a more thorough regulation of the largest participants of the national financial system and its transparency enhancement, organization of regular collection of information from the OTC market and systematic monitoring and analysis of the sustainability of the national financial system.
Conclusions and Relevance The research findings may serve as a tool for further development of the financial science in terms of theoretical and practical developments in the field of the national financial system.
