The author emphasizes that the rate of economic growth is the most urgent problem of modern financial theory and practice. The article point out that in the conditions of limited investments, an informal financing assumes the great importance. The thefts occupy a special place in an informal financing. The article describes the author's paradigm of the thefts as a specific financial instrument, and it reveals the mechanism of its functioning and the role of thefts in Russia in the conditions of globalization of the market economy. While concluding the paper, the author offer the proposals aimed at combatting the thefts in the conditions of a modern market economy.
