At the present time tourism in many regions and countries plays a prominent role, so the problem of establishing an effective system of sustainable tourism development is of increasing importance. The paper with the aid of the PLS-analysis develops the model of the sustainable tourism in a state of the United States of America, which for recreational resources has much in common with the Republic of Altai. The results of modeling can be used to create regional ideas and to build an effective model of sustainable tourism in the Russian regions.
