Possessing the fifth part of the world wood reserves and having huge potential for development of forest resources and also having tercentenary history of forestry management, the Russian Federation significantly concedes to the developed foreign countries not only on level of harvesting of wood, but also on other important indicators of public forestry management. The authors point out that for identification of positive experience which could be applied in our country, the comparative analysis of forest administration system in foreign countries regarding forestry financing was carried out.
