Commercial bank as basic link of the Russian Federation financial system

The article discusses the issues of theoretical maintenance of bank as special type of financial institution. The authors outline the main arguments of enhancing of banking system role in market economy, they reveal the most important provisions of an institutionalism theory. The article provides characteristics of the main components of financial system and mechanisms of their performance in national economy.
