Analysis of the alternative methods of the resource rent extraction in the foreign countries oil industry

The article considers the mechanisms of the resource rent redistribution in the leading oil-producing countries, which experience indicates the variety of approaches to the resource rent extraction. Taking into consideration the Russian specifics, it is possible to adopt various tax methods based on profitability applied in the developed countries, or contractual methods extensively adopted by the countries of emerging economies. The author also considers the comparative characteristics of the regulation models of the resource rent relations in the main oil-producing countries.
