The article considers the condition of the ship-building industry of Russia which is one of leading branches of the defense industry complex, considerably defining transport, military, food and energy security of the state in all spheres of maritime activities. The author analyzes dynamics of the indicators defining a condition of the ship-building industry. The paper considers strategy of its development.
