Russia's membership in the WTO puts fishing industry of the Kaliningrad region in terms of new development. One side of the fishing enterprises growing export potential, and on the other there is a threat of loss of domestic market due to increased competition. The article is devoted to consideration of the priority directions of development of regional fisheries - improving efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises.
