Methodological basis of institutional analysis: old, new schools and mainstream

In the article the problem of heterogeneity of the institutional analysis is considered, causes and effects of this heterogeneity become clear. The special emphasis is made on emergence of two schools - old and new institutionalism which are distinguished by the relation to the neoclassical analysis and initial assumptions, and also a used method of knowledge of economic events. The author highlights the most important themes of the old institutional academic research program, is a problem of statics and dynamics in terms of the institutional approach.
