International and Russian experience in movie financing and risk diversification while investing cinema projects

In the article the review of funding mechanisms for production of movies in Russia and abroad is presented. It is possible to carry out an assessment of an expected box office at various stages of production. It allows not only to private investors to diversify risks, but also provides base for revision of criteria of an assessment of film projects for public financing: to give a priority to less profitable projects, but with high cultural value.
