Income approach to evaluation of commercial bank competitiveness

In the article the methodological issues for evaluating the competitiveness of a commercial bank under the income approach, statistically determined the most important "centers of income" lending institutions to quantify their specific weights are calculated cumulatively for the entire sample, as well as separately for the universal, retail and corporate banking are considered. Research based on the use relevant financial information for the 50 largest Russian banks, adequacy calculations verified by additional sample of medium and small credit institutions are presented.
