In the article the principles as methodological forms of scientific research various aspects of essence and development of personal finance are analyzed, the structure of system of the principles of personal finance is defined. The conclusion is drawn that set of the principles of personal finance includes two groups. There are three subgroups - general, special and single, depending on the scale of their distribution on the phenomena in the field of the financial relations.
