Functioning of the currency channel reflects productivity of monetary and credit regulation through change of the external economic operations. In the article the features of an economic mechanism of economic system of Russia are revealed, the tendencies under the influence of which there is a formation of the currency channel of the mechanism of monetary transmission are considered.
