In the article the analysis of approaches to essence of finance, their functions is carried out, the questions of the role and functions of the ratio of finance are considered, development of views of economists on the concept "finance" is shown, and the problems of financial science are formulated. In the article the question of need of elaboration of uniform approaches on key concepts of a framework of the Russian financial science is considered.
