Conditions and prospects of formation of uniform currency zone of Council of cooperation of the Arab states of Persian Gulf

Since 2001 creation of the currency union became a main goal of participants of Council of cooperation of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf. The plan of introduction of uniform currency faced the insuperable conflict of interests of the largest financial centers of the region. The main reason is domination of national interests over regional. In the article compliance of the countries to criteria of the convergence, an estimated exchange rate formation mechanism of new currency, current state of Council are considered.
